Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. Many restaurants across Pennsylvania run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Erie is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Erie follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Pineapple Eddie's had been sitting on our "to try" list for probably 4 or 5 years, and thanks to a last-minute change of plans, we finally made it in. The restaurant is much larger than it appears from the outside. Once you head through the first dining room and down the steps, you're greeted by a warm, homey dining room with a surprisingly spacious bar. It has a comfortable neighborhood feel, and the staff was friendly throughout our visit. Our cocktails arrived in about 10 minutes, and the hush puppies followed about 20 minutes later. They had a nice flavor, but were much denser and chewier than I expected. The bigger issue was the wait for our entrees. With the restaurant not appearing particularly busy, nearly 50 minutes for fried chicken and jerk chicken felt excessive. The good news? The chicken absolutely delivered! Both the fried chicken and the jerk chicken were packed with flavor and easily stole the show. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy, while the jerk had a wonderful balance of seasoning and spice. Those dishes alone made the meal worthwhile. Unfortunately, my mashed potatoes arrived warm instead of hot. After such a long wait, I was hoping everything would

We do a long weekend every year in Erie and found Pineapple Eddie last year. We put it on our list to make sure we returned this year and we were not disappointed. We came back this past weekend and the food and service was excellent. June was our server and he was so friendly and attentive. For starters we had the crab hush puppies plus 2 of the specials, the Caribbean roll and the blue sticky wings. The roll was my favorite with the curry potato, but the blueberry wings were also a huge hit. We ate these too quick to get pictures! Our dinners were all delicious and everyone was really happy with their selections. My husband got the meatloaf special, I had the fried white fish (absolutely best fish I've ever had) and our kids had chicken & waffles and the Pineapple Eddie burger. This will be a permanent spot on our list for sure every year we visit!

Pineapple Eddie Southern Bistro GOOD - solid southern-style food, friendly service, fun and warm atmosphere BAD - Not much, the service on the slow side and prices are a bit high for the type of food. Neither of these hurt the review because though slow, service was very friendly and I would just cut out the app if I want a better price. PE was an enjoyable experience. It's nestled right in every day suburbia which made it fun - the local place. The fried chicken and waffles was very good and portions are fair. My server allowed me to sub mashed potatoes instead of the day's veggie, which I appreciated. I was excited to try "blueberry glazed" wings which, major bummer, we're seasonal. I got the sweet-hot. The wings were tasty but a little sog - slightly longer fry and good to go. I recommend Pineapple Eddie and I'll be adding it to my Erie rotation when I visit again.

I tried pineapple Eddie’s for a late dinner on a Wednesday night. I am so happy that I did. The food is all scratch made and absolutely delicious. The young lady who waited on me was attentive, and extremely polite. I finished off with a delicious homemade dessert and all for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend!

We were in town for the evening at the end of September and I had seen this restaurant mentioned in a magazine we picked up so we decided to go for dinner. We didn’t have a reservation but were seated immediately by the hostess who was also our server. Her name was Heather and she was friendly and attentive. We ordered the crab hush puppies to start and they were fantastic. I had the Jamaican shrimp and my man had the bourbon chicken - we both got chef’s rice and vegetable of the day. The food was delicious. The flavor on the shrimp was so good: I can tell you while I was eating my meal, it was so good I had totally forgotten that we had the hush puppies - and we had a couple corn muffins too - I should have been full but it was so good I couldn’t not eat it. I was secretly hoping my man would not eat all of his so I could take some for leftovers. We declined dessert but I almost wish we had gotten something. Our server had told us that she made the pumpkin bundt cake that day and we saw it as we were leaving and I almost went back in for a piece to go. The place was pretty full in the front. I think there was a bar and more dining space in the back. Prices were very reasonabl
